When you are searching for the right deal on an auto loan, the whole process can feel a bit overwhelming. This is especially true if you have a bad credit score.

One of the main reasons that folks can feel anxious about the process is that there are so many decisions to make. You first have to figure out the make and model of the car you will buy. But, there is more to it than that. You also need to determine whether the car that is in your sights is one that you can afford.

This is where having a bad credit score can make things even harder. With a low FICO score, you now have to always be looking over your shoulder during the loan application process. You have to worry about not only whether you will get approved for a loan, but also about whether you will have to end up paying sky-high interest rates on your auto loan.

If you are looking for no down payment bad credit auto loans, here are 5 questions to ask yourself:

1. How much do I need to borrow?

This question is an important one because it will affect whether you can strike the right balance between getting access to the money need to buy the car you want and not borrowing too much. If you borrow more money than you need via your auto loan, the loan will end up costing you more than is necessary – or the loan application could even be rejected. So, choose a reasonably-priced car.

2. How soon until I can repay the loan?

This question has to do with the amount of time it will take you to pay the loan back. The faster you can pay it back, the less the loan will cost you. Since interest rates on bad credit auto loans are higher than rates on, say, a home mortgage, you will want to borrow the money for as short a term as is realistic.

3. Am I able to find bad credit auto lenders?

Most auto lenders will reject your application if you have bad credit and no down payment. However, most bad credit auto lenders have programs for people in your situation. Be sure to seek them out.

4. Do I want the option of applying online?

You likely have auto loan lenders in your city or a nearby town who have physical, brick-and-mortar offices. This can be a good option for you to consider. However, at the same time, you should also apply to at least a handful of online lenders, as well. By applying online, you are not limited to what may be local, “small time” lenders who do not have as much to offer in terms of loan options. Most online lenders serve clients nationally.

5. Should I review my credit report before applying?

Depending upon the auto loan lender, they may or may not check your credit. Still, if you are seeking out bad credit auto lenders that do not require a down payment, it is at least a good idea to run your own credit report and become familiar with it before you apply.

Ask yourself these 5 questions before you apply for a no down payment bad credit auto loan.

Confirmed bird flu death in Nigeria

   Posted by: Admin   in Uncategorized

Wednesday, January 31, 2007

A woman, one of three people who recently died of flu like symptoms, in Lagos, Nigeria, has tested positive for the H5N1 strain of Avian influenza.

It is the first bird flu in Nigeria since the strain arrived in Nigeria a year ago. H5N1 was confirmed in blood samples tested in Rome and London from the three recent deaths.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations stated that while the threat from avian flu has decreased from last year, there still remains flare-ups around the world, urging countries to “remain vigilant and fully cooperate with international organizations”.

Bird flu is spread by wild birds for whom the virus is a stomach disease and, generally, not fatal.

Although the disease has killed 164 people, it has only been out of 269 cases, this gives the disease around a 60% fatality rate compared to the 1918 ‘Spanish flu’ pandemic which had a mortality rate of around 5%.

The outer coat of the virus particle is characterised by two types of glyco-proteins, neurominidase and haemagglutinin, both of which interact with sialic acid.

Haemagglutinin has sixteen forms, H1 to H16, and binds to sialic acid on the target cell, facilitating the entry of the virus.

Neurominidase is found in nine forms, N1 to N9, this protein allows the progeny viri to escape the infected cell by cleaving sialic acid.

The two main drugs against bird flu currently on the market, Tamiflu® and Relenza®, both target the sialic acid binding pocket of neurominidase. Neither of these drugs will cure the disease, but will stop its spread through the body. As such they have to be administered within 48 hours of symptoms appearing. In all 9 sub types of neurominidase, the structure of the target area for the drugs is the same. There is also a flu vaccine but the current flu vaccine does not protect against H5N1.

Human to human transmission is very rare, at the moment bird flu can only be caught from prolonged exposure to infected birds, specifically their droppings from which the bird flu virus has been crystallized and parts of the structure solved.

Unlike diseases such as smallpox and measles, for which their are effectively protecting vaccines, the flu virus constantly mutates. Each year the virus is slightly different from the last, this is the genetic drift of the virus – small point mutations on the surface, causing an evasion of our immune system. Many of the problems arise when there is a major shift of the surface proteins, for instance when a different subtype appears, such as H5.

There are three strains of human influenza circulating around the globe; H1N1 first isolated in 1933, H2N2 first isolated in 1957 and H3N2 first isolated in 1968. Other than humans; pigs, seals and horses have various strains of influenza, however only wild birds have all the known subtypes of haemagglutinin and neurominidase. Of the 144 combinations of N(1-9) and H(1-16) we have had three.

Tornadoes cause millions in damages in Waco, Texas

   Posted by: Admin   in Uncategorized

Saturday, May 6, 2006

Early Saturday morning winds up to 90 miles per hour struck Waco, Texas and central McLennan County, United States, causing widespread damage and leaving many households without electricity.

No deaths or serious injuries have been reported; however, there is a tremendous amount of damage in 15 areas of the city, leading Mayor Virgina DuPuy to declare the city a disaster area.

The hardest hit area was Franklin Avenue, where the Coca-Cola bottling plant’s roof was peeled open as if by a giant can-opener. There were Sprite bottles spread out onto the street. The nearby Furniture Row shopping center was also hit hard. Some furniture was found as far as three-quarters of a mile away. Other hard-hit areas were Robinson, Hewitt, Woodway, and Speegleville. Densely populated Inner Waco was spared of any catastrophic damage, though hundreds, and possibly thousands, of trees have fallen, and roofs destroyed.

The main concern is restoring power to over 23,000 households and businesses. Many gas stations and grocery stores in the disaster areas were closed until power is restored. Those that remained open have had to throw out all perishable items. Also of concern is getting electricity to those with medical needs. The city has provided help to those without power at the Dewey Recreation Center.

The storm is the hardest to hit the area since the tornado that struck on May 11, 1953, which tore through downtown and killed 114 people.

Waco has seen more than its share of tornadoes recently. Only a week ago, an F1 tornado damaged many houses along Orchid and Kendall Lanes. No people were injured, though two horses were killed when their stable collapsed.

The National Weather Service confirmed this morning’s winds were a F2 tornado, where wind speeds may have reached 115 miles per hour in some locations.

Change Your Diet To Change Your Cholesterol Levels

   Posted by: Admin   in Medical

Submitted by: Angelo Johnson

Cholesterol is a soft way substance found in all parts of the human body. Some of the cholesterol is produced by the body and some of it comes from the food you eat. The body does need some cholesterol to function properly. Too much cholesterol can cause arteries to clog and can lead to heart disease. Maintaining a diet that is designed to reduce cholesterol levels can reduce risks of heart disease and lower cholesterol. Increasing physical activity and losing weight will help lower your cholesterol too.

Cholesterol can be found in eggs, dairy products, meat, and poultry. Egg yolks and organ meats like kidneys, liver, and sweetbreads are very high in cholesterol. Some shellfish are high in cholesterol but fish contains less cholesterol than that of other meats. Fat content of foods is not always the way to go to measure cholesterol in foods. Some times foods can be very low in fat and have high cholesterol content like liver. Foods of plant origin have no cholesterol like veggies and fruits.

To lower your high cholesterol levels you can limit your intake of fats to 25 to 35 % of the total day s calories. Eating less than 200 mg s of dietary cholesterol per day and getting more fiber in your diet can help to lower your cholesterol levels as well. It is still very important to get enough calories in your diet to support health.

A low cholesterol diet does not have to be hard to follow. There is such a huge variety of foods and ways to cook them that it would be hard to get bored. There are even many food companies that offer low fat and low cholesterol for people who don t have time to put together large meals.

When shopping for food with your new diet in mind keep the following things in mind as well. Fruits and vegetables have no cholesterol in them. Lower the intake of saturated fats in your diet because these foods can raise your cholesterol levels. Partially hydrogenated vegetable oils contain a form of saturated fat called Trans fats. They raise blood cholesterol levels the same way saturated fats do. Trans fats are found in foods like margarines, shortenings, and cooking oils.

Whole grains should be used instead of foods with white flour. Eating large amounts of carbohydrates can raise cholesterol levels, especially if you have diabetes. Buying low fat or skim milk dairy products instead of whole milk products can help you lose weight along with decrease cholesterol levels. Lean meats like turkey, chicken, or fish are better for you rather than eating red meats. Instead of using ground beef using ground turkey is a healthy substitute for hamburgers or spaghetti. Olive and canola oils are lower in saturated fats which can help lower cholesterol.

Another great thing to add to a low cholesterol diet is an herbal supplement. Cholesterol Control is a product that can assist the body s normal ability to balance cholesterol levels. Using this product with the diet and adding exercise to your daily routine can decrease bad levels of cholesterol. This product can be found at Alternative Health Supplements and is all natural and perfectly safe to use with no negative side affects.

How to Prevent Injuries in Actively Playing Volleyball

by

marygarcia

The ideal way to clear injuries is not to get them in the 1st location.

Definitely, this is a somewhat persuasive statement, but couple of items get much less sympathy than bluster on crutches. There are plenty of issues that can be carried out to aid stop injuries. * Excellent participating in surface. Sand is the safest, followed by wooden sprung health club floor – in no way play on bare concrete. Gym floors should be dry and clean – both sweat and dust enable feet to slide which causes sprains. * Risk-free Posts. Padding is accessible to cover metal posts. If anchor ropes are utilized to maintain the post make positive anyone understands that the area all-around them is out of bounds. * Excellent volleyball: for their 1st number of sessions low sting balls are available for the beginners that will need them. Unless you’re attempting to put them away for life, don’t use soccer balls. * Personal security equipment: Shoes with great grip and not built up as well large, knee pads and for the girls… a sports activities bra and hip pads if you dive all over a great deal. Newbie’s that bruise effortlessly may possibly also advantage from elasticized assistance bandage on the wrists or prolonged sleeves. * Jewellery… Snagging an earring in the net does not occur usually, but it’s amazing when it does. Angular rings and watches can result in nasty scratches, and watches will bruise the wrists in the course of digs (forearm pass) * Glasses: Sports activities goggles, shatter resistant lenses and get in touch with lenses all provide better protection than typical glasses. * Match… Be fit sufficient to perform / train at your level. As nicely as delivering strength, muscle groups are also shock absorbers and aid stabilize joints * Tiredness… standard illness insufficient sleep and lack of health and fitness are examples of states wherever you’re unlikely to be sufficiently lucid to be secure on court. Not only unsafe for your self but even worse – unsafe for the other avid gamers there. * Light cozy-up and stretching… cold, stiff muscles tend to get pulled, cozy muscle groups are more rapidly. Warming up stimulates the production of synovial fluid, which assists lubricate and cushion joints. Note: the warm-up prepares the entire body just before much more intense exercise, if the hot-up begins away too vigorously, you’ll be damaging un-prepared, cold muscle tissues and joints through the warm-up itself. If you want to do physical fitness training in the session then do it some time soon after the warm up but not instead of the hot up * Ground control… Make certain that bags, clothes and so on don’t spread from the edges of the fitness center into the actively playing area, and that unattended balls don’t drift behind players. * Secure drills: Some workout routines, drills and ‘plays’ result in numerous injuries, there’s always a satisfactory, safer option. * Realize the sport. If you know the most likely trajectories of the ball and the game enthusiasts you’re much less probably to end up in unsafe positions. * Prevent the net line… The rule that makes it possible for you to set most of your foot over the centre collection ought to have been eliminated many years ago. An ankle sprained by landing on an individual else’s foot often takes longer to heal than a broken bone. (A single week on crutches and an 8-12 week recovery is standard) Train your self not to get so close to the net when you hit. Begin a bit additional back and to reach forward much more when you block. Campaign for a ‘no foot on the collection rule’. Beware the stray feet of beginners and basketball avid gamers!

Florida man charged with stealing Wi-Fi

   Posted by: Admin   in Uncategorized

Update since publication

This article mentions that Wi-Fi stands for “Wireless Fidelity”, although this is disputed.

Thursday, July 7, 2005

A Florida man is being charged with 3rd degree felony for logging into a private Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) Internet access point without permission. Benjamin Smith III, 41, is set for a pre-trial hearing this month in the first case of its kind in the United States.

This kind of activity occurs frequently, but often goes undetected by the owners of these wireless access points (WAPs). Unauthorized users range from casual Web browsers, to users sending e-mails, to users involved in pornography or even illegal endeavours.

According to Richard Dinon, owner of the WAP Smith allegedly broke into, Smith was using a laptop in an automobile while parked outside Dinon’s residence.

There are many steps an owner of one of these access points can take to secure them from outside users. Dinon reportedly knew how to take these steps, but had not bothered because his “neighbors are older.”
